ClubSport Stirling

How we bring local clubs together

We link and meet with sports clubs using what we call a cluster model. This means we've divided the Stirling area into six areas:

We allocate all the clubs in the surrounding areas to their nearest cluster. So, for example a club in Riverside would join the Wallace cluster and a club in Callander would join the McLaren cluster. What cluster is your sports club in?

Why this system works for us

Each cluster meets regularly at a local venue in the cluster and brings together all the sports clubs in the area. They're attended by:

  • local affiliated clubs
  • a representative from ClubSport Stirling
  • the local Sports Development officer.

It's up to the cluster what they talk about at their meetings. But it could range from how to get funding to what training is available to help club coaches.

Our experience shows it's a great way for us to work locally with sports clubs.
