Our work focuses on:
What we’re doing to develop sports clubs
Our Club Development working group aims to develop strong sports clubs that have good long-term prospects.
What we're doing for clubs in the Stirling area
We work with clubs affiliated to us. The more clubs that are affiliated to us, the better we can represent the wide variety of clubs in the area. Find out how to affiliate to ClubSport Stirling.
We make sure all affiliated clubs benefit from regular visits, support and advice from a Sports Development Officer from Active Stirling.
We award sports clubs Charter Club status. This shows that they're safe and organise well structured activities.
We help to organise ClubSport Stirling's clusters meetings, which brings sports clubs together by geographical area.
How we might be able to help your club
We might be able to provide funding or in-kind assistance to help your club to develop.
Clubs are required to work with their Sports Development Officer to put together a funding submission. This must show how the funding will help the club to develop.
We also help clubs to come together. If joint ventures are viable - for example, a community club - we can provide advice and, in some cases, funding.
What we're doing for sports coaches
Our Education and Training group helps sports clubs in two main ways:
We work with Active Stirling through Coaching Stirling:
We also work with Active Stirling on a coach scholarship scheme. This provides funding for coaches and volunteers to attend courses and seminars.
ClubSport Stirling promotion and marketing
Our Profile working group promotes ClubSport Stirling to everybody in the Stirling Council area.
It lets people know what we, and our committed band of volunteers, are doing to encourage sport and physical activity in all its forms.
The group also has a vital marketing role. They use their business contacts and expertise to attract extra funding.
