Sports Awards Winners 2009

Our annual Sports Awards evening took place on Wednesday 25th November 2009.  The event was a roaring success and very well supported by the Stirling Community.  Our guest speaker Dame Kelly Holmes was outstanding and spent a lot of time with our guests.  Live music was provided by Dougie McLean, which was enjoyed by all.

The standard of nominees this year was outstanding and made the job of the panel very difficult indeed.  All nominees were worthy of an award. 

The winners for 2009:

Club of the Year - Balfron Barracudas

Primary School of the Year - St Ninians Primary School

Secondary School of the Year - Bannockburn High School

Team of the Year - Stirling County RFC U18's

Local Service to Sport - Shona Malcolm

Young Sports Person of the Year - Kathryn Gillespie

Coach of the Year - Donald McLean

Senior Sports Person of the Year - Fraser Cartmell

All winners were presented with a personalised trophy and signed autobiography from Kelly Holmes.
