FOSS: How We Help

Friends of Sport Stirling (FOSS) can help you or your organisation benefit by way of supporting sports clubs within the Stirling area.

During one of our quarterly PWG meetings in 2005 it was discussed how we could link private support from the community with our existing public funding support from Active Stirling. Thus, FOSS was born, with the clear aim of providing a mechanism of funding opportunities to local businesses whilst also providing the much needed funding gap for our sports clubs in the Stirling area.

If you would like to support FOSS here are some of the benefits:

• Increased profile with in the community
• Leverage funding to give added value to your support
• Raised awareness of your company
• Invite to Stirling Sports Council's Annual Sports Award Evening
• Satisfaction of providing support to potentially the next generation of Olympian contenders

If you are approved as a FOSS Member your funding support will be directed to your reqeusted committee for giving. Here is will be used by these committees by way of supporting approved funding applications from local sports clubs. It is important to understand that your funding will be used to support and benefit the local sporting community only. Stirling Sports Council is a sporting body run by volunteers who all share a passion about sport and as such want the area to be as successful as possible in the sporting world.
