ClubSport Stirling offer a series of First Aid and Child Protection & Wellbeing in Sport (CWPS) courses throughout the year. These are subsidised for our affiliate club members.

Our Coach Scholarship programme serves to motivate coaches, volunteers & officials, providing them with opportunities to learn from and mix with others, and challenge themselves further. ClubSport Stirling invests in a scholarship programme to ensure quality opportunities for coaches, volunteers & officials at all levels. It is an opportunity:
To develop and support coaches, volunteers & officials
For coaches, volunteers & officials to improve and gain knowledge
To attract people into coaching, volunteering & officiating
To motivate coaches, volunteers, and officials
Applications can be made for individuals or a group if there are many people attending a single course (please see separate guidelines & application forms linked below).
Our aim is to award between 50% & 90% of the courses total, subject to a maximum of £300 for an individual award. Group awards will be considered as a small grant award within our club development award structure and will receive a grant of up to £300 if successful.
The cost of and access to a course can often be seen as a barrier to coaches participating in learning and development. Coach education subsidy funding therefore aims to support the development of coaches through financial subsidies towards the cost of their development and the attainment of relevant qualifications to complement their skills. Coach education subsidy funding is also in place to encourage Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) approaches and access to sport in different communities throughout Scotland.
